This course introduces students to the fundamental principles and elements of visual art, exploring form, composition, color, texture, and spatial relationships. Through drawing, painting, collage, and mixed-media exercises, students develop an understanding of how visual language communicates meaning, emotion, and narrative. Emphasis is placed on observation, creativity, and critical thinking as tools to interpret and express ideas visually. The course also examines historical and contemporary art movements to contextualize artistic practices within cultural and aesthetic frameworks.
