Students will study the principles of neural networks, and, more specifically, the principles of Machine Learning [ML] focusing on algorithms that find patterns in data to make predictions or decisions. Students will learn how to ude ML algorithms, Convolutional Neural Networks [CNN], and Generative Adversarial Network [GAN], to generate, explore, and optimize design alternatives (layouts, forms) based on input data. Applications such as energy performance, sunlight, and structural efficiency early in the design stage.
