ENG 403: Persuasion and Influence in Leadership

This course explores the principles and practices of persuasion and influence in leadership. Students will examine rhetorical strategies, audience analysis, emotional intelligence, negotiation, and ethical approaches to influencing others. Through theoretical discussions, case studies, and practical applications, students will develop skills for communicating ideas, building trust, managing conflict, and motivating individuals and teams. Emphasis will be placed on adapting communication strategies to different audiences, contexts, and organizational goals. This 3-credit general elective fulfills the second-semester English requirement.
